Ridgeway Primary School

Believe, Endeavour, Succeed Together

Vision & Values

Our visions and values are at the core of everything we do. They underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils as confident, happy citizens. They were written using feedback and input from pupils, parents, Governors and Staff.

We, as a whole school community, are committed to the view that all children are entitled to be accepted, respected and valued as individuals – being happy, safe and able to learn. We also believe that with this entitlement comes the responsibility to behave appropriately and to show respect and consideration for the rights of others which arises from the belief that we are unique individuals.

At Ridgeway Primary School we are proud of the high standards of behaviour demonstrated by our pupils. We aim to ensure that this positive ethos is maintained and nurtured by all those who belong to our school community.

We are dedicated to ensuring that our school environment supports learning and the wellbeing of pupils and staff through a strong sense of key School Values. Cooperation, support, and respect are the foundations of our community and we work hard to provide a safe school where pupils feel included in every aspect of school life and comfortable to voice their opinions.

Together as a school, we discussed rules and expectations and the children have chosen to model our school rules/values on the spirits of the Olympic and Paralympic games. We felt that they are all-encompassing and also show that we value the legacy of the London 2012 Olympic games.

As such we have all agreed that Our School Values are…
