Ridgeway Primary School

Believe, Endeavour, Succeed Together

PSHE

PSHE lessons throughout our school supports pupils to achieve their potential by supporting their wellbeing and tackling issues that can affect their ability to learn. Our PSHE education can also help pupils to develop skills including - teamwork, communication, and resilience - that are crucial to navigating the challenges and opportunities of the modern world, and are increasingly valued by employers.

Safeguarding is a key element of our PSHE education as pupils learn about their own identity, risks, decision-making and how to keep themselves safe.

R.E

The aim of religious education in our school is to explore what people believe and what difference this makes to how they live, so that children can gain the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to handle questions raised by religion and belief, reflecting on their own ideas and ways of living.

Ridgeway Primary School follows the Derbyshire Agreed Syllabus for RE (2020 -25).  Every child has an entitlement to religious education, which is multi-faith and reflects the teaching and practices of Christianity and other principal religions represented in Great Britain.
