Years 3 & 4 held a special themed day to support their Roman topic.
On Tuesday The Griffins and Team Phoenix (Years 3 & 4) dressed up in Roman costumes for a Roman Day. This is because our topic this term is the Roman Empire. We did lots of different Roman activities with different adults. We baked our own bread, made a Roman army shield (and acted out the tortoise formation), created a Roman menu and also had a Roman feast. The feast was deliciously yummy as we ate; our own bread that we dipped in honey, balsamic vinegar and olive oil, olives, grapes and we drank wine (only pretend—it was juice!).
Roman day was the best day ever and we learned a lot about Romans!
